WIP: Tygor rendered image

Rendered image of Tygor in spotlight 
Its looking Ok-ish I am not entirely satisfied by it, still a lot of work could be done on the texture and colors. Moving the arms from the default T-pose ruined the texture.
not finished with this post will edit later......
Edit: Added the remaining textures & this is what looks like. 


Rendered in passes since I can get control over what the BG would look like. The model isnt smoothed so the bump map details aren't popping out.
Have to check out the Reflection pass and Specular pass, those would make a huge difference to the scene in terms of details.
 Thinking the BG should be a Rocky Background, this can be achieved with Procedural texturing.
Hopefully the fully Smoothed model will look a lot better, Peace guys will add more stuff used in it later.

Tygor textured almost .... hehe


Color map and bump map are done,now to work on specular, wont take long though. Texture was painted in PS, seams were a handful to fix. But most of the seams gonna be hidden under the armor, clothes etc.
Modelling of jaw completed, not the best but it will do, will post an image of it soon.

Update on Tygo =D

Work is going on at full throttle.
I ended doing the texturing by myself, havent finished though, seams are visible =( 
All my friends are too laid back and dont take stuff seriously, disappointing. 
Thinking of adding a normal map from zbrush and hiding the seams in Bodypaint. Also fur how da'eff do I add that, my minds exploding right now.
 Gah! tons of stuff to do, hopefully my PC can handle them XP

Spanish football stuff

Made some stuff based on the Spanish colors during the world cup in 2010. Still cant believe how the 'effing awesomely won that. I was rooting for them since 2006... lol.
When I first got my PC one of the first games I was introduced to was Pro-Evolution Soccer 2004, I used to play exhibition matches between national teams and for some reason I always  got good results with Spain, even though they werent a major force back then. Became a fan of their team and style of play since then =D

Unwrapping a female body

Was thinking of doing unwrapping for the Tiger model, but had to postpone that & unwrap the female body that I had with me, as an assignment.
This is the model I have been working on for quite sometime, progress is slow as I cant decide what to add for clothing'n stuff. I think the hair turned out great. Found a pretty awesome way for modelling long braided hair, thanks to some net searching.
Here's what the unwrap looks like ...
I am pretty sure I got few parts right. Lots of stretch near the chest area, gah!! I dont wanna create a seam there. The model is gonna be clothed so I wouldnt worry too much.
I am really bad at painting in PhotoShop, I am worried about how I am gonna paint the skin the way my instructor did.
Thinking maybe I should get my friend to do it, whose interested in PS painting. Gah! But as a modeller I feel other guys wouldnt do justice to my models =(.
I am growing attached to my models  T_T* sniff

Happy Halloween and ...

Happy Birthday to myself XD. Yeah it falls on Halloween, but no one celebrates that where I came from, though I take pride in the fact that my Birthday falls on that day.
Now for the business, updates for my Halloween scary model will be coming up soon. Down with cold so I dont feel like doing any modelling work. Learned how to unwrap a face today  much, much easier than unwrapping in 3Ds Max.

Spider body shell

Modelling a tank like spider kinda thing, will attach a female torso to the hollow end. Still WIP since didnt have a good enough female head model for usage. Will update this soon with the female torso.
Poly count is huge no thanks to the legs XP

Work In Progress

Modelling a fusion char, cross between a tiger and a human, something like Thunder cats but with a bit more animal elements. Modelling is not done yet, the body and face are looped & ready for animation.


Have to model teeth (I have no idea how to do that atm) & change the face around a bit. Not unwrapped yet(probably start in 2-3 days), thinking of applying/painting Tiger texture to it & do some sculpting in Zbrush for finer details (although I am a zbrush beginner).
Havent seen the polycount yet, rarely pay attention to that. It came out better than I imagined but still the face looks mellow, need a more evil look.
I have no idea what I should make it wear, since its my own imaginary character with no references, I am still banging my head on it XD
More updates will come soon also more imaginary characters.

3D is da BEST

I joined the multimedia career thinking of becoming a 2D designer and use to hate 3D back in the day XP, Now I cant get enough of 3D modelling, texturing and lighting. 
In my free time all I can think about is 3D, looking at real life objects and trying to visualize how I would model them in 3D. 
One of my best 3D render so far
I was a beginner modelling in Max so the poly count is huge, didnt make any efforts to keep the count down...hehe XP
Procedural textures where applied, still suck at unwrapping.

Busy with stuff lately, lots of 3D models and texturing works in progress.
But on the good side HALLOWEEN's coming up as so is something else =P
